The Visegrad Youth Forum (VYF) is a unique project with a long-standing tradition. It is an international conference fully organised by students, members of the Euro-Atlantic Center. The participants of the conference are students and young scholars from the Visegrad region. The main goal of the project is to provide a platform for young people and future leaders from V4 countries to help them improve both their theoretical and practical knowledge about different aspects of regional and intraregional cooperation in various fields.
From the perspective of the V4 and Slovakia, 2018 is a year of significant anniversaries
and events. In July, Slovakia took over the rotating presidency of the Visegrad Group, creating space for a more thorough presentation and discussion about the presidency’s priorities not only among the academic community, but the general public as well. Furthermore, the most notable anniversaries include the recent 100th anniversary of the establishment of the First Czechoslovak Republic and the 25th anniversary of the independent Slovak Republic. Both anniversaries will be among the main topics discussed during VYF 2018.
