VYF 2016 – First Day

The participants and organizers of VYF 2016 undertook a field trip to lovely – and snowy – Špania Dolina. They had a guided tour of the former mining village, experiencing the uniqueness of the place. They stopped by several landmarks, like houses built in typical mining architectonical style, or the village church, the village’s oldest building built back in 1254.

The participants and organizers also had a little trip back in time, as they visited the Historical School of prof. Jozef Mistrík, with the school’s clasroom being built as an exact replica of classrooms from the past.

Afterwards, the participants and organizers enjoyed a well-deserved traditional Slovak dinner.
